Many internet providers are making changes due to COVID‑19. The information below covers a few main companies in Canada. If your provider is not shown here, visit their website or call them to learn about the supports they are providing.

 

Bell Canada

Reference

Bell Canada is offering these supports for their internet customers during the COVID-19 pandemic

  • If you are having trouble paying your bills, Bell can offer flexible payment options. To get these options, login at mybell.ca or call 1 866 310-BELL (2355)
  • You will not be charged extra internet usage fees until June 30, 2020.
  • Starting March 19, 2020, if you have a Turbo Hub, Turbo Stick, or MiFi device, you will get an extra 10GB of Canadian data and a $10 credit for your current plan and next billing cycle until June 30, 2020
  • No rate changes will be made until further notice.

 

Cogeco

Reference

  • Cogeco will not terminate the services of customers unable to pay their bills due to disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • For the same reason, late fees will be waived temporarily.

Rogers

Reference

  • If you are having trouble paying your bills, Rogers can give flexible payment options. To get these options, call 1-877-559-5202
  • Rogers will not suspend or disconnect accounts if you are having money troubles from March 16, 2020, to June 30, 2020.
  • For Rogers and Fido customers on home internet plans that include monthly data usage amounts, you will not be charged extra internet usage fees from March 13, 2020, to June 30, 2020.

  • If you are having trouble paying your bills, Telus can offer flexible payment options. To get these options, call 1-888-811-2323
  • Telus is postponing all disconnection dates until further notice. In the meantime, to stay on top of your bill please visit My TELUS.

 

Virgin Mobile

  • Waived extra usage fees for all Home Internet Members until June 30, 2020
